Positioning Your Firm Before the RFP

Positioning Your Firm Before the RFP

Positioning Your Firm Before the RFP

I make my podcast debut on this episode of the Professional Services Marketing Show. In this episode, I sit down with Josh Miles to talk about how to better position your firm, before that RFP ever hits the street.

I talk about what some of the steps are in positioning your firm. I then talk about how your firm can become a “trusted advisor” to your clients. I explain what that means and how being one you can actually shape the projects that clients need.

We then talk about how positioning may affect your marketing materials. This includes everything from the copy on your website to your project descriptions.

Josh asks me my opinions about who in our firms should be doing the positioning with our clients and how our staff’s skillsets come into play.

You’ll want to listen to learn about who at our firm’s are translators and what role these folks play in the positioning efforts with our clients.

The analogy of a comedian workshopping new jokes even is discussed.

If you have ever wondered why some firms seem to just get every project from a client or that they know about projects before everyone else, you want to make sure to listen to this podcast episode.

As Josh put it, Positioning is quite possibly, one of the closest things marketers have to a silver bullet.

Listen to how to get your firm’s silver bullet here.
