‘Tis the season for holiday shopping and gift giving. Don’t forget the important AEC marketing professionals in your life (which could also be yourself)! I have put together an AEC marketer gift guide to make your shopping even easier. I have received and/or given each of these gifts and can personally guarantee the appreciation from the receiver.
As a bonus, all of these gifts can be purchased online. If you are like me, you avoid any store during this time of year.
Fun Appreciation Gifts
When an official job title doesn’t encompass all that a marketing coordinator does for his/her firm! This tumbler clearly expresses just how much of a bad @ss your recipient is!
Marketing Coordinator: Because Bad @ss Problem Solver is not an Official Job Title
The website Baudville has fun, inspirational and clever gifts to show your colleagues and teams your appreciate their hardwork. I especially like their ornaments with new designs every year. The gifts are also affordable for those of you purchasing on your own dime.
5 Minute Journal
Setting intentions each day and going to bed with three things you are grateful for. This has really helped me to see perspective in my life and provide me with contentment. I received the 5 Minute Journal as a gift from a class I attended and would HIGHLY recommend for each of you.
I have the hard copy book as the experts say it is more powerful to put pen to paper.

For the Readers
There are numerous professional development books for marketing and business professionals. I compiled a list of the 21 most recommended for your business development library here.
Some of my most recent favorite books are Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek and the Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni. These are great to give to new managers and those aspiring to move into the management role.
Another excellent book choice is The Maxwell Daily Reader: 365 Days of Insight to Develop the Leader Within You and Influence Those Around You. I received this gift from a friend last year and it sits on my desk. I refer to it a few days a week to keep myself motivated. It really is the gift that keeps on giving!
No Time to Read
The best thing for those who have a commute or just can’t find time to sit and read is the gift of Audible. It is an Amazon company that provides audio recordings of books. You can give the gift of membership for 3, 6, or 12 months.

For the Writers
Nothing is better to take notes on than a classic Moleskin notebook. The outside cover is so soft and sleek and the paper weight is sturdy. I prefer the classic black, but they come in a variety of colors for the most creative marketers!
It’s also an Amazon Prime item so shipping is free! Shop here: http://www.amazon.com/Moleskine-Classic-Notebook-Large-Notebooks/dp/8883701127/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449018600&sr=8-1&keywords=moleskin+writing+journal
Those Who Just Need a Drink!
Sometimes some of us just need a drink (with a good friend) to melt away the stress of our jobs. Why not send the gift of a drink to them directly? I have discovered many of the monthly box clubs and by far LOVE my wine club which I have kept the longest.
For around $45/month I get three bottles of small-batch and boutique wines from around the world. They also include a robust newsletter that explains each wine type, origin, flavors and recipe to pair with the each type.
You can gift a single box or prepaid memberships! Shop here: http://wineawesomeness.com/select-gift.html
